Branding

Branding projects are one the many reasons I love my line of work. They require a lot time in early ideation, research, and strong communication with the client. The two projects below are some of my favorites that I've done as a freelance designer.

Dank Extracts

When I first met with my client, his vision for the brand was blurry and he was unclear about what he wanted. There are times when clients have difficulty describing their vision, so I make it my mission to ask great questions to draw out valuable information and build a jumping-off point from there. Key words from our initial conversation included "urban", "delicious", and "street". I like to know what makes a brand unique - in this case, my client's company made stand-out THC oils. Through many iterations, I was able to fulfill my client's vision with a strong logo, wordmark, and brand guidelines.

Apétit

This is a project I worked on at WMU while studying branding and business systems. Around that time I was learning about Croatia and was inspired to create a restaurant with dishes influenced by their culture. I selected a two color palette to enable logo versatility, easily translating to print in black and white. Croatia has a rich history, but I wanted this restaurant to have a modern feel and stand out from its competitors. I chose the typeface Avenir because of its geometric characteristics that play nicely off the perfect circles in the logo.
